A RYEDALE man has been arrested suspected of driving a car after taking cocaine.

Traffic police in Scarborough were on patrol on the A64 Seamer bypass at 9.50pm on Sunday, April 23, when they pulled over the blue Audi near the Edgehill junction.

The driver, a man from Norton, failed a road-side drugs test which showed a positive reading for cocaine.

Following questioning in custody, the 24-year-old man was released under investigation while enquiries continue.
