AN expanding broadband business has opened a new “hive” of offices.

Beeline Broadband Ltd is a community-focused broadband provide specialising in high-speed wireless internet connections to people living and working in Ryedale.

To support the increasing demand for its services, the company has recently increased the size of its team and invested in new office premises at Brawby, which were officially opened by Ryedale MP Kevin Hollinrake.

Selwyn Jones, sales and communications manager, said: “The company was started 13 years ago supplying a handful of users in Newton upon Rawcliffe. Gradually Beelines multi-network has grown and we expect to have more than 1,000 subscribers across the Ryedale area by the beginning of this autumn.

“Rural North Yorkshire is a challenging area to supply with a wireless broadband signal because of the localised topography, but after careful research and development of our infrastructure, we believe that we would be able to satisfy demand in the area for robust and consistent broadband.

“Since its inception, we have not lost focus of the original objective which has always been to supply a cost-effective solution to people who have been denied the benefits of the digital age.

“The economy of the UK suffers consequences of inadequate and unreliable internet experienced by homes and businesses in rural communities.

“We really appreciate Kevin taking the time to come to Brawby Grange to open our new office, The Hive. More than 30 people attended, including Beeline Broadband engineers and customers.”
