PLAYTIME has just got even more fun for toddlers at the Little Stars playgroup in Thornton-le-Dale, thanks to a donation from Ryedale Lions Club for new toys and equipment.
The youngsters are now busy in the new kitchen, riding shiny bikes and cars, bouncing on the mats, giggling on the rocker chairs and splashing out in the ball pool – all bought with a £250 donation from the Lions.
The children presented a big thank you card to Lions members who visited the playgroup to watch all the fun.
“We very much needed this new equipment as the group grows and to replace older items. The children are delighted with it,” said playgroup leader Donna Firth.
Lions’ treasurer Geoff Boggs said: “It’s amazing how modest amounts of money can make such a big difference to groups like this and it’s a joy to see the kids having so much fun”.
