A RYEDALE-based charity has unveiled a new and improved website.

Following a complete redesign, the new site for Sight Support Ryedale highlights the charity’s successful work in ensuring social inclusion for blind and visually impaired people living in the area.

The website features images of members taking part in activities such as cycling, and enjoying days out to visitor attractions and shopping destinations.

Sight Support Ryedale is based in Malton, but supports visually impaired people living throughout Ryedale.

The charity is actively working to get people together for social activities, information distribution, combatting loneliness and isolation and building friendships.

Chief Office Julie Atkinson said: “The new website is a clear online gateway into the services that Sight Support Ryedale provides.

“We hope that it will appeal to existing members and attract new people who would like to get involved.

“All our latest news and events will be posted on the website, including details about our technology group, music and movement gentle exercise group, and our regular social meetings.

“People interested in volunteering can also see what we do before they come to join us.”
