TWO people were trapped and had to be cut free by firefighters after a crash in East Yorkshire.
Emergency services were called to the collision, involving two cars, in Towthorpe, near Sledmere, shortly after 5pm yesterday.
A spokesperson for Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said: "One male casualty in first car suffering leg injuries, one female casualty in second car suffering from back pain."
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting gear and battery operated cutters to free the man and woman.
They were both taken to hospital by ambulance.
