FIRE crews have had to cut a man from a vehicle after a crash near Castle Howard.
The crash happened this afternoon near the Welburn crossroads between Castle Howard and the A64.
The crash involved two vehicles, a Range Rover and a Honda CR-V.
According to a fire spokesperon, fire crews were called at 12.54; two fire engines from Malton and Huntington went to the scene, as well as an incident support vehicle.
Police and ambulances also attended.
When crews arrived, one casualty was already out of the car and being treated by paramedics.
Fire crews then used cutting equipment to free a man from one of the vehicles.
He was left in the hands of ambulance crews, and was taken to York District Hospital.
