A NATIONAL burger chain has got permission to open a new branch in York.
The Handmade Burger Company has been given the go-ahead to convert the current Trespass shop at 8 St Sampson’s Square into a new restaurant.
The Guildhall planning panel objected to their application, saying the area had enough food outlets already, but planning officers granted the change of use permission earlier this month.
The company has branches in Hull and Leeds, but if this plan goes ahead St Sampson’s Square will be its first in York.
