A 91-YEAR-OLD volunteer at a Ryedale charity has been honoured for her long service.
Dorothy Masterman, who has been volunteering within St Catherine’s Kirkbymoorside Support Group for 30 years, was presented with a bouquet of flowers by Nicky Grunwell, a St Catherine's fundraiser.
St Catherine’s Hospice provides in and out-patient care, neurology support, bereavement support and day care for patients across a 1,600 square mile area, including Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington, Driffield, Hunmanby, Ryedale and Whitby.
Each year the hospice cares for more than 2,000 people from that area. It costs £6.2m a year for St Catherine's to provide its hospice services in the area.
If you are from the Ryedale area and would like to join Dorothy in the Kirkbymoorside Support Group, phone Nicky Grunwell on 01723 351421.
