CHILDREN at Settrington Primary School have been facing their fears by taking on a series of challenges.
Settrington has been working with several other schools on an academic resilience project.
The children have been doing a number of things, including putting their feet in a bowl of mud to see how they feel about it and if they can do it despite being worried.
Headteacher Mari Palmer said: "The aim of the project is to help everyone in the school to become more resilient and able to face a challenge.
"We are being helped by York University who have provided us with assessment materials and support in providing the work."
