FIVE vehicles crashed on the A64 near York this morning, causing long tailbacks.
The collision happened on the westbound carriageway close to Bilbrough Top at around 7.30am.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Fire crews and an ambulance also attended but, fortunately, there were no reports of any serious injuries.
"One of the carriageways was blocked while emergency services attended the scene and there was disruption to traffic but the route was clear by 8.20am."
The vehicles involved were an Audi A3, a Range Rover, a Nissan Micra, and Audi Q3 and a Peugeot van.
