HOMELESS dogs were given a treat at Christmas thanks to a collection by two animal-loving friends.
Leoni Lenaghan and Chelsea Scott, who both live in Malton, collected dog toys, treats, bedding and food to help Ryedale Dog Rescue over the festive period.
"We were able to deliver an incredible amount of donated items to Ryedale Dog Rescue," Leoni said.
"The work they do is amazing and the dogs are all so lovely. I'm so glad we've been able to provide these dogs with what we have.
"Thank you to Rosie Stephenson and the volunteers for the work you do and thank you to everyone that donated, your kindness is hugely appreciated."
