Could NHS really police smokers?
I CANNOT for the life of me understand why Peter Leadill is hot under the collar (Letters, December 17).
If he had read some of my past letters he would have seen I am in complete agreement with him. The Government are running the NHS into the ground, unless people actually believe the outrageous claims made by Boris Johnson about funding the NHS. He says that turning a blind eye to allowing smoking in the grounds is a different issue to his letter.
I disagree. If they cannot police this daily blatant law-breaking, how on earth can they police what smokers can and cannot be treated in York Hospital?
