FROM equestrian exploits with Junior Team GB, to leading a fitness retreat in Portugal, a Ryedale woman is now turning her hand to cookery books.

Jodie McGregor, who now lives in Rosedale, was a talented equestrian in her teenage years and a successful member of Team GB’s junior eventing team.

But realising she would never be in the top rank, she set her sights on a new career and completed a sports studies course at Middlesbrough College.

After graduation she launched her successful business, Jodie’s Fitness Formula, over a year ago – combining her love of healthy eating with keeping fit.

Ms McGregor says her ethos is "nourish, not punish" and, following customers’ requests, she has now complied all her healthy recipes into a self-published a cookery book titled Jodie’s Fit Formula Recipes.

Ms McGregor admits it was not easy to turn away from eventing as a profession, but says she has not looked back since.
