TWO friends are appealing for items to help give homeless dogs a treat this Christmas.
Leoni Lenaghan and Chelsea Scott, who both live in Malton, have started a collection of dog toys, treats, bedding and food to help Ryedale Dog Rescue over the festive period.
"Unfortunately for various different circumstances these dogs don't yet have homes," Leoni said.
"My dog Bentley is lucky enough to have a home and we can only wish that these dogs will soon have their forever homes. "We are hoping to be able to give them a bit of Christmas cheer with our collected donations and will be taking them to the boarding kennels the week before Christmas.
"Linton pet shop has kindly donated some beds and coats, so if there are any other pet shops who would kindly be willing to donate anything would be hugely appreciated."
Anyone who can help in anyway can send a message through the facebook page Ryedale Dog Rescue collection or email leoni.lenaghan@sjgtwltd.co.uk
