INVESTIGATIONS are continuing after a fight between about 20 people in York.

North Yorkshire Police were called to the Judge’s Lodgings Hotel in Lendal at about 1.30pm on Saturday, October 22.

A spokeswoman said fighting was taking place on the grounds of the hotel and in the street, and urged anyone who saw the fight or has video footage to contact them.

North Yorkshire Police’s Football Liaison Unit announced on social media at the weekend that an investigation was underway following the disruption, which happened ahead of York City’s match against Chester FC, which finished 1-1.

A spokesman said officers were also reviewing CCTV as part of the investigation to help identify those involved.

Police have not received any reports of anyone being injured during the disturbance.
