ST Mary’s School in Malton has been declared "outstanding" following a recent religious education inspection.
The school, which was inspected in July, was found to have an excellent development of pupils.
Lead inspector Michelle Ryan said: "The quality of teaching in RE is outstanding. Prayer and worship underpin the Catholic life of the school so that the pupils’ spiritual, moral and social development is excellent. The pupils have a strong sense of school family and belonging.”
Headteacher David Harrison said: "We at St Mary’s are extremely proud of our 'outstanding' result following a recent RE inspection. Children, and staff work very hard for the good of everyone. We are a warm and welcoming school."
