CREATIVE images of Malton have gone on display as part of a joint exhibition at the town's museum.

Members of Malton and Norton District Camera Club have worked on the project with Malton Museum to identify quirky angles and unusual viewpoints to portray the market towns' charm.

The selected images were exhibited as part of the 2016 exhibition and a special catalogue of the prints was published, which are still available to purchase.

Tony Malt, chairman of the camera club, said: "We were very pleased to work with Malton Museum to capture the spirit of the town and allow us to display our work with for a broader audience. We look forward to working together again in the future."

Claire Sawdon, development officer for the museum, said: "It was a pleasure to meet the camera club members and to see the creative response and range of images which were submitted."

The photographs will cease to be on display when the museum closes for the winter period to allow for a new project to be developed. The images will form part of the museum’s archive.

The exhibition is open until October 29, Thursday to Saturday, from 10am to 4pm.
