A SLINGSBY rider was victorious in a recent dressage festival, and will now go on to national championships.
Steph Robson, a freelance instructor in Slingsby who also works for Askham Bryan College two days a week, was competing in the British Dressage Petplan Area Festival on September 23.
Entered into the medium bronze class, she won with 68.53 per cent. She was riding her horse Tina's Gold, an 11-year-old connamara cross gelding.
Ms Robson said: "I have had him since he was a three-year-old and produced him myself. I train with Mary Pritchard. He probably did his best ever test - he tried his heart out."
Ms Robson will go on to perform in the championships at Hartbury in Gloucestershire in April.
