I RESPECT the fact that Pete Blake disagrees with my pro-European Union stance (Letters, September 22).

However, I wish that he would not bracket me with those who want a re-run of the referendum.

I never wanted the original and wrote to these pages saying so when the idea was first forwarded by David Cameron.

My take on it then was that such an important issue should be decided by Parliament and not by people who could not distinguish George Osborne from Tom Hanks.
