A COLLISION between a car and a bicycle has closed a road in North Yorkshire this morning.
Police and ambulances were called at 8.35am to the B1257 south of Slingsby, near Malton.
The reported collision was between a cyclist and a driver in a Vauxhall people carrier-style car.
The road was fully closed and traffic to Malton was diverted south past Castle Howard.
A police spokesperson said that the cyclist has been taken by ambulance to James Cook hospital with a head wound.
The road was partially re-opened at 9.35am.
