A TERRIFIED woman was forced to the ground by two men and had her handbag stolen as she walked close to the A64.
The woman was in a snicket between Cayton Low Road and Morrisons in Eastfield, near Scarborough, when she was approached from behind at 4.40am on Thursday.
The thieves took her handbag and went back in the direction of Cayton Low Road.
The handbag is black with a flap-over fastening. It contained a silver matchbox-sized tobacco tin which does not fully close and other personal possessions including paperwork.
The victim suffered minor injuries but North Yorkshire Police said she is very shocked and upset.
