NORTH Yorkshire Police have been continuing to mark tack to protect against theft.
At a safety awareness event at Snainton Riding Centre Pony Club, the young riders learned about road safety, tack security and tack marking. With a member of York police, they talked about the importance of high visibility wear, made fingerprint key-rings, stamped tack with identification machines and hand-cuffed each other.
There is also an event at BATA Robinsons in Malton on Saturday, from 11am to 2.30pm. Riders can bring along leather items of tack to be marked.
