AN historic pub in the North York Moors has been bought by two brothers, but mystery still surrounds its future.
Charles and Toby Wood, who already own The Fox and Rabbit at Lockton and The Horseshoe at Levisham are the new owners of The Saltersgate Inn, on the Pickering to Whitby road.
Charles Wood confirmed they had bought it but declined to comment on their plans for the building when contacted by The Press and The Gazette and Herald.
The pub sold at auction in May for £107,500.
The Saltersgate Inn dates back to 1648 but it closed in 2007 and has since fallen into severe disrepair.
