RILLINGTON Pre-school held a fun dog show at the village's recreation field.

There were lots of classes including the dog with the waggiest tail, dog most like its owner and best six legs.

Heather Drabble, from Rillington Pre-school, said: "A big thank you to all who took the time to organise the charity event and special thanks to Rebecca Robinson from Operation K9 in Sherburn who judged the event.

"Many thanks to local companies who donated raffle prizes; Dawnay Arms Gift, Morrisons voucher, Palace cinema, Harbour bar gift vouchers, Dalby Forest, Deans Garden Centre and Foxhill Boarding kennels in Allerston."

Malton Fire Station also provided an engine for the children to look at but were pulled away by a call out.

Heather said: "A great family event with stalls, a bouncy castle, car boot and lots of stalls. Thanks to all who attended we raised more than £200 which we hope to put towards a new outdoor shed."
