MORE than 3,000 blooms and trails of greenery will fill Castle Howard with perfume and colour during its annual flower festival.
Joining the stately home's florist Kymm Queen will be more than 60 volunteers from local flower clubs and florists who will each work to create unique displays which reflect their interpretation of the house’s grand interiors.
This year’s festival will include displays in red, white and blue in honour of the Queen’s 90th birthday, created by York Minster flower arrangers.
Outside, visitors can explore the parkland which includes walled garden with rose garden, ornamental vegetable garden and flower garden as well as Ray Wood.
Castle Howard’s Flower Festival takes places from Thursday to Sunday, and is included in house and grounds admission. The grounds are open from 10am and the house opens at 10.30am, last entry is at 4pm.
