A THIEF or thieves have broken into a Norton church through a side window.
North Yorkshire Police received a call on Sunday, June 12 reporting that Trinity Methodist Church on Commercial Street in Norton had been broken into.
The break-in happened at some point between 4.30pm Saturday, June 11 and 8am on Sunday, June 12.
A police spokesperson said: "It's believed that thieves gained entry through a side window.
"An investigation is currently ongoing to determine what items were stolen."
Police are appealing to members of the public who witnessed anything suspicious or who have any information which could assist the investigation to contact them on 101.
