A BOAT has been damaged by fire in a cove on the Yorkshire coast.
Firefighters were called to Cayton Bay near Scarborough last night to investigate a report of a small boat on fire on a beach.
"On arrival, crews found a small boat on fire in a cove," said a spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service.
"Crews found access on foot and managed to extinguish the fire using buckets. The incident has been left open for a further revisit by day crews this morning."
