THE Northern Racing College (NRC) has welcomed back a graduate to talk to the youngsters about the Active Communities Network (ACN) and careers in racing.
The visit, part of Give and Gain day, which promotes volunteering, included a tour of the college for Hayley Turner, who graduated from the college in 1999.
As an ambassador of the ACN, Hayley talked to the youngsters of the ACN and Flying Futures and also to current foundation course students about her career and where it all began at the NRC.
Hayley’s advice to the youngsters was: "As for giving advice to anyone seeking a career in racing, all I’d say is ‘Do it’, - as long as it’s something you enjoy. You always do a better job if you love what you’re doing."
Business in the Community’s Give and Gain Day is a global day of employee volunteering. Now in its ninth year, it will see thousands of people from hundreds of companies volunteering.
