POLICE were forced to draw their Taser against a man during a disturbance last night.
The incident occurred in Church Street, Norton in Malton late on Saturday night.
A spokesman said the man was 'red dotted' by police, which is when a Taser is aimed but not fired in order to defuse a situation.
The Press understands a weapon, believed to be a knife, was recovered by police at the scene, but this had not been confirmed by officers.
The incident was unrelated to disorder in a nearby pub at about the same time, which police also attended.
Two men were arrested - one in relation to each incident - and remain in police custody at this time.
