OLYMPIC gold-winning boxer Luke Campbell MBE dropped into Flamingo Land recently in a break from training in America.
Luke, who earned the name "Coolhand" for his ability to keep calm, won Olympic Gold in the bantam-weight category at London 2012 while still an amateur. He turned professional shortly after and, in the 2013 New Year’s Honours List, was awarded an MBE for services to boxing.
Gordon Gibb, owner of Flamingo Land, said: "We were delighted to welcome Luke, Lynsey and their children to the park and for them to enjoy our hospitality in one of our new Riverside Cottages.
"He is a great ambassador for his sport, his family and Yorkshire and it was a pleasure to have them with us."
