A WOMAN was rescued by emergency services close to the River Ouse in York on Wednesday.
North Yorkshire Police said they were called to Clifton Bridge, at Water End, at about 7.40pm, "following concerns for the welfare of a woman near the river".
A spokesman said: "Officers located the woman, and she was taken to hospital by ambulance to get the care she needs."
