Police have named the two men who died in the aircraft crash in Ryedale this weekend.
They were 21-year-old Cameron James Forster from Sussex, and 25-year-old Ajvir Singh Sandhu from Essex.
Both men were student pilots in the RAF.
Police were called at around 10.40am on Saturday to reports of a light aircraft crash in a field near Welburn, close to Castle Howard.
Up to 20 firefighters attended the scene and set up a foam blanket around the aircraft in case it caught fire.
An air ambulance and a land ambulance were also sent to the crash site.
Experts from the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) are now trying to piece together exactly what went wrong with the flight.
