THREE people have committed fraud in a shop in Whitby, confusing the cashier by asking to change denominations of cash. It was then discovered they had left the shop with an additional £330.
The three suspects entered the Lidl store in Whitby at 7.30pm on September 25.
Now police are appealing for assistance, and have said that they would like to speak to the people pictured on CCTV (pictured above), as they may have important information that could assist the investigation.
According to a police spokesperson, the images have already been circulated to shopowners across the region, but despite extensive enquiries they have not yet been identified, and police are now appealing for the public's assistance.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for PC Lewis Cadden. You can also email lewis.cadden@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.
They are asked to quote North Yorkshire Police reference number 12150170371.
