HERE'S a list of forthcoming roadworks taking place in Yorkshire and the Humber from Monday, November 23 to Sunday, November 29.

It is a summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements and is correct as of Friday, November 20.

M1 Junction 30 Chesterfield to Junction 31 Worksop

The northbound side of the motorway will be reduced to single lane overnight on Monday 24 November and Friday 27 November as part of the smart motorway upgrade. The southbound side of the motorway will also be reduced to single lane overnight for five nights from Monday 23 November. The southbound exit slip road at junction 31 will be closed overnight on Monday 23 November, and the southbound carriageway will be closed between the exit and entry slip roads at junction 31 overnight on Wednesday 25 November. The southbound entry slip road at junction 30 will be closed overnight on Wednesday 25 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

M1 Junction 32 Thurcroft to Junction 35a Stocksbridge

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed in winter 2016. The northbound exit slip road at junction 34 will be closed overnight on Friday 27 November. The southbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for five nights from Monday 23 November. The southbound exit slip road at junction 32 will be closed overnight on Thursday 26 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

M1 Junction 39 Denby Dale to Junction 42 (M62 interchange)

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in winter 2015. The southbound entry slip road at junction 40 will be closed overnight on Wednesday 25 November. The southbound carriageway will be closed between junctions 41 and 42 overnight on Monday 23 November and then again on Wednesday 25 November. The northbound exit slip road at junction 41 will be closed overnight on Tuesday 24 November. The northbound carriageway will be closed between junctions 41 and 42 overnight for three nights from Thursday 26 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

M1 Junction 36 to 37 Barnsley

The southbound entry slip road at junction 37 will be closed overnight for 6 nights for resurfacing work from Monday 23 November. The southbound carriageway will also be reduced to one lane from junctions 36 to 37. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

M18 Junction 3 Doncaster

The motorway will be closed overnight in both directions between the exit and entry slip roads for bridge repairs at junction 3 on Monday 23 November, with a diversion taking traffic off and then back on at the junction. The east bridge at junction 3 will also be closed overnight from Tuesday 24 November until Christmas, preventing access to the southbound M18 from the A6182. A diversion will take drivers on the northbound carriageway up to junction 4 and then back on the southbound carriageway. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M62 Junction 25 Brighouse

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight between the exit and entry slip roads at junction 25 on Monday 23 November for bridge maintenance work. The westbound carriageway will also be closed at the same location on Tuesday 24 November. The westbound entry slip road at junction 25 will be closed overnight for three nights from Wednesday 25 November, with one lane open in each direction between the slip roads on the motorway. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

M62 Junction 22 Saddleworth to Junction 23 Huddersfield

The westbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane for resurfacing work overnight on Monday 23 November and Wednesday 25 November. The eastbound carriageway will also be reduced to a single lane for three nights from Tuesday 24 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am M1/M62 Lofthouse Interchange The southbound exit slip road at junction 42 of the M1 and the eastbound entry slip road at junction 29 of the M62 will be closed for resurfacing work for five nights from Monday 23 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

M62 Junction 25 to 26 Chainbar

The westbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane for technology work on Saturday 28 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M62 Junction 26 to Junction 27 Gildersome

The westbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane for technology work on Friday 27 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am M62 Junctions 27 to 28 Tingley The eastbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane for technology work overnight on Tuesday 24 November and Wednesday 25 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M62 Junctions 32a to 33 Ferrybridge

The eastbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for bridge maintenance work for four nights from Thursday 26 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

M62 Junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange)

There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until a project to add an extra lane to the roundabout at the junction is completed in August 2016. The slip roads and roundabout will be reduced to a single lane overnight, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday 23 November for five nights.

M180 Junction 5 Hull to Junction 4 Scunthorpe

The westbound carriageway on the M180 will be closed overnight on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 November from junction 5 at Hull to junction 4 at Scunthorpe. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am to install traffic management cones and barriers for work to upgrade safety barriers and replace reflective road studs. A clearly-signed diversion will be in place.

M621 Junction 6 Belle Isle

The clockwise exit slip road at junction 6 will be closed between 5am and 10am for routine maintenance work on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November. Drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

A1 Leeming Bar to Barton

The A1 will be closed from 8pm on Saturday 21 November until 6am on Monday 23 November in both directions between junction 51 at Leeming Bar and Scotch Corner as part of a major project to upgrade this section of the A1 to a three-lane motorway. Work will also take place to demolish Kneeton Hall Bridge the following weekend with the A1 closed in both directions between the Scotch Corner junction and junction 56 at Barton from 8pm on Saturday 28 November until 2pm on Sunday 29 November.

A61 Tankersley

The A61 will be closed in both directions between Westwood roundabout and McDonald’s for roundabout improvement work from Monday 23 November for four nights. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

A61 Westwood to Tankersley

Overnight resurfacing work will take place on the A61 between Westwood and Tankersley for six nights from Monday 23 November. Drivers will be led through the roadworks by a contractor’s vehicle in convoys between 9pm and 6am.

A64 Bondhill to Copmanthorpe

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight for two nights from Saturday 28 November for bridge maintenance work. The eastbound carriageway will also be closed overnight for four nights from Monday 23 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

A628 Flouch to Gunn Inn

The A628 will be closed overnight for four nights for resurfacing work from Monday 23 November. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

A180/A160 Immingham, Humberside

There will be narrow lanes on the A180 and A160 along with a 50mph speed limit while work takes place to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway. The project is due to be completed in autumn 2016. The westbound exit slip road and eastbound entry slip road at Brocklesby Interchange will be closed until August 2016.
