This is a picture I took near Huttons Ambo. I took this image about 20 years ago, but the photograph had faded a bit so I went and retook it so that I could get it reprinted and put in pride of place over my fireplace;

Looking north over Grasmere - I went on a short break a few years ago. The weather here was terrible and I had to dig the car out of the drive. On the way up to the lakes the weather was hit and miss with snow, but we got there the next morning. When we got up it was thick fog, but I got my camera out and went for a walk round Grassmere and got this image. I know a lot of judges don’t like it for the branches, but to me it adds to it as it looks like you are peering through a hedge.

My toy - yes it’s my car and I took this one on a day out to Farndale on the way down to the Daffy café, then I turned it into a black and white then gave it a HD effect

Rally - I took this one on the Ripponeon rally just above Ampleforth. All I have done is a crop and a bit of levels.

Scarborough - this one was taken on a long exposure one night in Scarborough on the fish docks.

Stonegate in York - this one was also taken on a long exposure, but it was taken on the camera settings.

Tulip - I saw this in my back garden. The petal was down at one side so I took it as I haven’t seen a photo taken like this before.

This image of the Union public house, in Norton, was taken just before Christmas last year on a long exposure.
