ONE of the motorbike riders who died in a crash on the B1257 between Malton and Amotherby has been named as 62-year-old Stuart Hansen from Bridlington, East Yorkshire.
Two men died in the crash, which happened at about 11.50am on Friday.
North Yorkshire Police said two Suzuki bikes were travelling in opposite directions when they collided.
On Sunday they confirmed that the other rider, a man in his thirties, was an off-duty police officer from Humberside Police. They are not currently in a position to release his identity.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for any witnesses who saw the incident or the events leading up to the collision to contact them on 101, selecting option 2 and asking for the Major Collision Investigation Team.
