FOOD lovers are being invited to a 'More Taste, Less Waste' welcome supper at Malton Cookery School.

The event at 6.30pm on Thursday, October 15 will see guests tuck into a two-course vegetarian meal after a sparkling drink.

Gilly Robinson, head chef at Malton Cookery School, will also help customers make the most of veg boxes ordered from Riverford Organic Farms and therefore reduce waste.

Liz Pocklington, who runs Riverford Darlington & Dales in Crayke, with her husband Iain, will be on hand to answer questions and talk about their work.

She said: “Using up the veg box can seem daunting for new customers, but with a few new skills and ideas there should be no waste and you will have a wonderful selection of tasty meals which you can freeze if you need to.

"It really is good value for money, especially with free delivery to your door.”

The Riverford veg box was named ethical product of the decade at the Observer Ethical Awards earlier this year.

Tickets for the supper cost £15 each or £25 for two and can be purchased via www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/riverford-welcome-supper-more-taste-less-waste-tickets-18672370563
