LOCAL residents are being invited to raise a cup and support the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning this Friday.
The annual event is is Macmillan Cancer Support's biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer which last year raised £25 million.
Coffee mornings are being held at St Peter's Church House, Langton Road, Norton, and also at Princess Court in Malton, from 10am to 12noon.
Residents at Beechwood Place nursing home in Norton are also hosting their own event which will include a cake stall and raffle.
Tina Kelly, from the home, said: "The residents have been making biscuits and icing cakes and are looking forward to people coming along on the day for a drink and a chat."
