Daniel Gaddes, from the Scarborough area, died on Friday, August 21, after the crash, which involved a white Toyota Yaris, in Dunslow Road, Eastfield.

An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned on Thursday.

Officers are appeal for appeal for witnesses to the accident which happened at 7.22pm.

In particular, they want to hear from anyone who saw the distinctive motorcycle - a black Honda CB600 Hornet with a silver frame and blue piping - prior to the collision on the A64 as it travelled towards Scarborough from Malton. Or as it entered Dunslow Road in the direction of Cayton as it approached the collision scene outside the Vantage Toyota garage.
