POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Scarborough on Sunday.
It happened in Scalby Road between 3.10pm and 3.20pm when a male cyclist punched a 68-year-woman, who had got out of the car she was a front seat passenger in, forcing her to fall to the ground knocking her unconscious.
The man is described as white, of athletic build, wearing white and blue cycling shorts and top and black helmet. He was riding a black bike with distinctive white walls to the tyres.
Police want to hear from the members of public who came to assistance of the injured woman.
