PLANNED roadworks in Yorkshire and the Humber for Monday, August 3 to Sunday, August 9

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday, July 31, and could be subject to change.

M1 Junction 30 Chesterfield to Junction 31 Worksop

There are currently narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. The hard shoulder is also closed, and the project is due to be completed in the autumn. The southbound exit slip road at junction 30 will be closed for four nights from August 4. The southbound side of the motorway will be reduced to single lane for five nights from Monday, August 3. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

M1 Junction 34 Tinsley to Junction 35a Stocksbridge

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed in winter 2016.

M1 Junction 36 Tankersley

The southbound exit slip road will be closed for two nights for resurfacing works from Monday, August 3. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

M1 Junction 38 Haigh

The northbound exit slip road will be closed for three nights for resurfacing works from Wednesday, August 5. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

M1 Junction 39 Denby Dale to Junction 42 (M62 interchange)

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in autumn 2015. The northbound entry slip road at junction 40 will be closed overnight for five nights from the Monday, August 3. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

M18 Junction 3 Doncaster to Junction 4 Doncaster

The northbound side of the motorway between junctions 3 and 4 will be closed overnight for barrier works on Tuesday, August 4. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and clearly-signed diversions will be in place.

M18 Junction 3 Doncaster to Junction 4 Doncaster

The northbound side of the motorway between junctions 3 and 4 will be closed overnight for four nights for resurfacing works from Wednesday, August 5. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and clearly-signed diversions will be in place.

M18 Junction 5 Doncaster to Junction 4 Doncaster

The southbound side of the motorway between junctions 5 and 4 will be closed overnight for four nights for resurfacing work from the Monday, August 3. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and clearly-signed diversions will be in place.

M62 Junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange)

There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in April 2016. The slip roads and roundabout at the junction will be reduced to a single lane overnight for five nights, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday, August 3.

M62 Junction 31 Normanton to Junction 32 Castleford

The eastbound side and the westbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for Bridge Inspection works on Monday, August 3, between 8pm and 6am.

M606 Junction 2 Euroway to Junction 3 Staygate

The northbound side and the southbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane overnight for five nights for carriageway improvement works from Monday, August 3, between 8pm and 6am.

M621 Junction 2a Cemetery Road Bridge

The clockwise entry slip road will be closed for routine maintenance works on Saturday, August 8. The closures will take place between 5am and 9am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

M621 Junction 3 Holbeck

The clockwise entry slip road will be closed for routine maintenance works on Sunday, August 9. The closures will take place between 5am and 10am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

A180 Great Coates to Stallingborough, Humberside

The westbound side of the motorway will be closed overnight between Great Coates and Stallingborough for barrier works on Friday, August 7. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and clearly-signed diversions will be in place.

A180/A160 Immingham, Humberside

There will be narrow lanes on the A180 and A160 along with a 50mph speed limit while work takes place to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway. The project is due to be completed in autumn 2016. The westbound exit slip road at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016 and the eastbound entry slip road at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016. The A160 eastbound will be closed overnight on Saturday, August 8. The closure will take place between 8pm and 8pm, and clearly-signed diversions will be in place.

A1033 Sommerdon Roundabout, Humberside

There will be a full closure of Sommerdon roundabout for five nights for High Friction surfacing works from Monday, August 3. The closure will take place between 8pm and 6am, and clearly-signed diversions will be in place.
