RESIDENTS will have the chance to air their concerns about crime and policing in the area with the Police and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire.
Julia Mulligan will hold public surgeries across Ryedale and Scarborough for two days to allow people to discuss community safety, crime and policing as well as give feedback on service locally.
Julia said that the feedback given during surgeries is essential in helping to ensure that local police meet the needs of the people living in Ryedale.
She said: "It's an opportunity for me to meet people, listen to feedback and provide support wherever I can. If you've got an issue you wish to raise about policing or community safety more generally I can help in a number of ways, so please do make an appointment."
Julia will also be visiting some organisations and community groups who have received money from her Community Fund. Grants between £500 and £2,000 have been awarded to a number of local projects to help improve community safety or to support victims and vulnerable people.
There will be a surgery at Pickering Library on Thursday, August 20 from 3.30-4.30pm. To book an appointment phone 01423 569 562 or email info@northyorkshire-pcc.gov.uk.
