PLANNED roadworks in Yorkshire and the Humber for Monday, July 27 to Sunday, August 2.

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday, July 24, and could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

M1 Junction 30 Chesterfield to Junction 31 Worksop

There are currently narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. The hard shoulder is also closed, and the project is due to be completed in the autumn. The southbound exit slip road at junction 31 will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 6am, on Tuesday, July 28, with a diversion in place. Both sides of the motorway will also be reduced to a single lane overnight on Thursday, July 30.

M1 Junction 34 Tinsley to Junction 35a Stocksbridge

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed in winter 2016.

M1 Junction 39 Denby Dale to Junction 42 (M62 interchange)

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions as part of the smart motorway scheme. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit in place until the project is completed in autumn 2015. From Monday, July 27, the southbound exit slip at junction 41 will be closed overnight for four nights, and the northbound entry slip road at junction 40 will be closed overnight for two nights. The southbound side of the motorway will also be closed overnight for three nights from Friday, July 31 between junctions 39 and 40. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

M18 Junctions 3 to 4 Doncaster

The northbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 4 will be closed overnight for barrier work on Friday, July 31. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and clearly-signed diversions will be in place.

M18 Junction 4 Doncaster to Junction 5 (M180 interchange)

The southbound carriageway between junctions 4 and 5 will be closed overnight for five nights for resurfacing work from Monday, July 27. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and clearly-signed diversions will be in place.

M62 Junction 26 Bradford (M606 interchange)

There will be narrow lanes and a 30mph speed limit in place until a project to add an extra lane to the roundabout is completed in April 2016. The slip roads and roundabout at the junction will be reduced to a single lane overnight for five nights, between 7pm and 6am, from Monday, July 27. The eastbound entry slip road and ‘2+ lane’ lane will also be closed overnight for two nights from 8pm from Saturday, August 1, until 9am on Sunday, August 2, and until 6am on Monday, August 3. A diversion will be in place.

M62 Junction 37 Howden to Junction 38 North Cave

The westbound carriageway between junctions 37 and 38 will be closed overnight for barrier work on Friday, July 31. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, with a clearly-signed diversion route M62 Junction 33 Ferrybridge to Junction 34 Whitley The westbound side of the motorway between junctions 33 and 34 will be closed overnight for technology work on Wednesday, July 29. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, with a clearly-signed diversion route M621 Junction 2 Elland Road The clockwise entry slip road at junction 2 will be closed for maintenance work between 5am and 10am on Saturday, August 1, with a clearly-signed diversion route.

M621 Junction 4 Hunslet

The clockwise exit slip road at junction 4 will be closed for maintenance work between 5am and 10am on Sunday, August 2, with a clearly-signed diversion route.

A63 North Cave

The westbound entry slip road at North Cave will be closed overnight for five nights for resurfacing work from Monday, July 27, between 8pm and 6am. Drivers will be able to follow clearly-signed diversion routes.

A180/A160 Immingham, Humberside

There will be narrow lanes on the A180 and A160 along with a 50mph speed limit while work takes place to improve access to the Port of Immingham, including upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway. The project is due to be completed in autumn 2016. The westbound exit and eastbound entry slip roads at Brocklesby will be closed until August 2016.
