Malton Food Lovers Festival

The seventh Malton Food Lovers Festival is not one to be missed. Held across Saturday and Sunday there will be regional chefs and foodie talents from across Yorkshire visiting Malton for two days of talks, tastings and demonstrations.
The market square will once again be packed full of the best local produce. Some of the highlights to look out for include Levi Roots, Betty’s Cookery School and tutored tasting with Yorkshire Heart Wine and Beer.

Duncombe Park Country Fair

On Monday the grounds of Duncombe Park will be flooded with a variety of trade stands, craft fair marquees and farmers market produce for the Duncombe Park Country Fair.
There will also be static engines, vintage cars, tractors and motorbikes on display as well as various shows and competitions throughout the day. There will be foxhound showing and judging, dog show classes and even ferret racing in this fun day out for the whole family. Parking at the grounds is free. 

Thornton-le-dale Spring Gala

This Sunday Thornton-le-Dale is playing host to a fun filled day of children’s entertainment and family fun. There will be a range of classic cars and tractors for guests to inspect as well as a horse and pony fun day, football and cricket matches and a variety of stalls. The car boot sale will make sure there are plenty of goodies on offer for visitors to browse and buy.

The Gaia Tribe Summer Camp

This wild craft and creativity camp started today (Friday) and will run until Wednesday 27 at Home Farm, High Hutton. Over five days there will be a range of live music, dance and relaxation in this gently exuberant camp. There will be a focus on relaxation, green living skills, friendship, fun and play set in a beautiful surrounding. Tickets are £130 for an adult five day ticket.

Jonathan Pomroy Art Exhibition

Ampleforth artist Jonathan Pomroy works in watercolour and oil from field sketches made in all weathers. Inspired by the landscape and wildlife of North Yorkshire, his work will be on display at The Yorkshire Arboretum, Castle Howard until Monday. Visitors can view the exhibition, which shows some of his most recent paintings, from 10am-4pm.
