TITAN the robot took bus travel to the MAX as he launched the new X93 buses which serve, Middlesbrough, Whitby and Scarborough.

The six buses represent an investment of £1.3m and feature, free on-board WIFI, luxury high-backed leather style seating and the very latest in journey planning technology for customers.

The fabulous new MAX buses were lit-up in front of Whitby Abbey, as Titan performed and entertained the crowd. He also visited the East Whitby Primary school, where he performed to over 200 children.

Nick Knox, area managing director for Arriva North East, said: “The new MAX buses offer a great package of benefits for passengers. We believe they’ll be a huge hit with customers and we’re really looking forward to seeing them out on the road. This investment follows on from our new Sapphire routes which launched last year in Teesside; we are constantly working towards improving the journey experience for our customers and we are confident that more people will see the benefits of bus travel and jump aboard.”

Titan the Robot added “It was great to meet the customers of the X93 route, taking this Arriva bus launch to the MAX.”

The X93 route operates hourly between Middlesbrough, Guisborough, Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and Scarborough.
