Cinderella at Helmsley Arts Centre
It’s pantomime time – oh no it’s not – oh yes it is! The 1812 Theatre Company presents this ever popular traditional family panto full of glittering characters, sneering baddies and beautiful fair maidens. The handsome prince, magical pumpkins and the Ugly Sisters will also be making anappearance set to a back drop of fantastic songs.

Local performers will be taking to the stage to perform this traditional panto which has been produced by Em Whitfield Brooks and directed by Gemma McDonald. The performance will be suitable for all ages and will be held at 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be a performance at 7.30pm on Saturday night.

Tickets cost £13, under 18’s pay £7 and it is £34 for a family ticket.

Malton Christmas Food Market
To coincide with the last monthly food market of 2014 there will be an array of Christmas stalls to mark the occasion as the festive season is thrust upon us.

There is free entry to the markets which will feature over 35 different food and drink stalls as well as live cookery demonstrations inside the Milton Rooms. There will also be carol singers to keep visitors entertained as well as mulled wine and Santa’s Grotto.

There is free parking and free tea or coffee with every bakery purchase.
The market will be open from 9am-3pm.

Santa comes to Dalby Forest
Come and meet Father Christmas and take part in other festive activities and events at Dalby Forest this weekend.

Children who visit Santa will all receive a free gift as well as a Spruce sapling to take home, plant and watch as it grows for years to come.

Santa will be at the forest on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm.


Now That's What I Call A Christmas Show! at Milton Rooms
This Christmas show is packed full of entertainment from a wide variety of acts and performers from choir singers, dancers, comedians and magicians. The 80 strong mixed choir the Prima Vocal Ensemble will be performing as well as students from Kirkham Henry Performing Arts, magician and comedian Josh Benson and Sarah Dean the ‘Incredible String Blonde.’

All proceeds will go towards Ryedale Special Families and the show kicks off at 7.30pm on Sunday. Tickets are £10 and doors open at 7pm.


Garlands Workshop at Howsham Mill
If you’re yet to put up your Christmas decorations or feel as though your house is missing a special decoration then head down to Howsham Mill on Saturday.

From 10am-4pm visitors to the Mill will be able to make Christmas garlands for windows and fireplaces from recycled fabrics including silks, velvet and handmade felt.
Tickets are £10.
