A MAN has appeared in court charged with attempted murder in connection with an attack.

Glyn Sullivan, 40, was charged in the early hours of today (Wednesday, November 26) with attempted murder, theft of a motor vehicle and drugs offences.

Mr Sullivan, of The Garth, in Whitby, appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court today (Wednesday, November 26).

Harry Campbell, 66, was found in his flat in Brookside, Boosbeck, east Cleveland, on Saturday, October 25.

He was taken to Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital with head injuries where he remains in a poorly, but stable condition.

A 37-year-old man who was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains on bail pending further inquiries.

Mr Sullivan was remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Crown Court on December 10.
