RUNNERS from across the region took part in the Pickering and Moors 10K on Saturday to raise money for St Joseph's RC Primary School.
Organisers said there was a good turn out and positive feedback from those taking part.
Dave Stewart, from the organising committee, said it had been an enjoyable day for all the family, "We also held a 5k race for the second year and had a really good turnout for that alongside the main race," he added.
"After the race I had a number of comments saying it had been a real family day with something for all ages to take part in."
Dave said they expected to raise about £1,000 for the school.
"St Joseph's is voluntary aided and funds raised helped towards extra activities for the pupils," he added.
"It was a successful day and we hope to build on that for next year."
