RESIDENTS are being warned not to leave valuable items in their vehicles after a spate of thefts in Whitby.
Tools and a KTM motocross bike were both stolen from vehicles parked overnight between Sunday and Monday.
A van was broken into on Oak Road in Whitby and tools, including a Megger multi-function tester, a 28-volt Milwaukee drill and impact driver were stolen.
Thieves also broke into a van on White Bridge Road and stole a KTM 350 SFX motocross bike in orange.
PC Nicola Knowles of Whitby Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “Please make life difficult for thieves and don’t leave temptation in their way.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
