A MALTON hotel is celebrating after winning two national awards.

The Old Lodge Malton had been awarded two VisitEngland awards following the hotel’s annual inspection earlier this month.

The four-star hotel was given the agency’s Silver Accolade for its accommodation and food service, achieving a 100 per cent rating for its breakfast.

It was also the hotel’s breakfasts that bagged the business the second award, the Breakfast Award, for the level of service, use of high-quality produce and extensive buffet selection.

Hotel manager Eileen Lowery said that staff at the hotel were thrilled with the awards.

She said: “Guests regularly remind us of their needs and why they keep returning. It is very encouraging for all of the team to receive the official confirmation that their efforts are making a difference.”

The inspector who conducted the assessment said: “The Old Lodge Malton continues to delight and impress customers. The Silver Accolade and Breakfast Award are both very well deserved.”
